Getting startedWhat does pageflock actually do?

You send a public page URL. pageflock fetches its static HTML and returns a title, readable text, links and metadata. The workspace lets you do this without writing code. Collections gather multiple pages into saved results.

Getting startedDo I need to know how to code?

No. Use Playground for a single page and Collections for a batch or crawl. The API is there when you want to connect pageflock to your own application.

Getting startedIs the homepage sample a live request?

The sample is a fixed example and uses no credits. To fetch your own URL, sign in and send a live request from your workspace.

SourcesDoes pageflock run JavaScript or unlock blocked sites?

No. It fetches static public HTML and respects source policies and robots.txt. It does not bypass a login, CAPTCHA or paywall. If content is loaded only by JavaScript, it may not be in the response.

SourcesCan I use everything I can reach on the web?

No. Public access does not grant a licence to collect or reuse content. You remain responsible for source permissions, privacy rights and your downstream use. Read the Acceptable Use Policy before collecting.

CreditsWhat counts as one credit?

One successful static-page extraction uses one credit. Failed or blocked pages use zero. Interrupted requests can hold a temporary reservation until maintenance reconciles them. Each repeat successful extraction uses another credit.

CreditsIs pageflock a recurring subscription?

Yes. Paid plans are recurring subscriptions that renew monthly or annually until cancelled and add credits after each successful payment. Unused credits roll over while your account is open. Customer access requires a paid subscription. Prices and request limits are on the Pricing page.

CreditsWhy can’t I start another subscription?

You can have one subscription per account. Manage it in Plans & billing; cancel a pending checkout there before trying again. To change plans, cancel the current subscription and wait until its paid period ends. If checkout is unavailable, no new subscription can start.

CreditsCan I request a refund?

The Terms explain the 14-day request window and how unused purchases are assessed against the shared credit balance. Monetary refunds go through support; failed-request credit recovery is automatic. Closing an account does not automatically refund a balance.

CollectionsWhat is the difference between a batch and a crawl?

A batch processes the exact URLs you supply. A crawl follows permitted links on one exact website origin, up to your chosen page count and plan limit. You can view individual outcomes and download JSON or CSV.

CollectionsHow long can I keep results in pageflock?

Collections expire seven days after creation and are removed by maintenance once work is terminal. Download before the expiry shown in your workspace. Completed request history is kept for 30 days. Account export does not include saved page bodies.

AccountWhy must I confirm my email?

Where email delivery is enabled, new accounts must confirm their email before metered work. Use the link in your inbox or request another from your workspace. Confirmation links expire after 24 hours and are single-use.

AccountHow do I export or delete my account?

Open Settings for account export and closure. Download collection results first. Closure requires your password and confirmation, prevents new work and waits for existing requests or pending checkouts to finish. Detached payment receipts remain as described in the Privacy Notice.

AccountAre my API keys visible later?

The full key is shown once when you create it. pageflock stores its hash, not the reusable key. If you lose it, create a replacement and revoke the old one. Never put keys in URLs, public repositories or browser code.
