FIELD NOTES / PRACTICAL GUIDE

Your first page, extracted.

Start in the workspace, inspect the result, then bring the same request into your code.

STEP 01

Open your workspace

Create an account or log in, then choose a paid plan. If email confirmation is required, use the link in your inbox before sending live requests.

STEP 02

Choose a public page

Open Page extractor and enter a full https:// URL. Start with https://example.com. The Start here walkthrough uses a fixed example and no credits; a live workspace request fetches the URL you provide. An API key is not required for the signed-in workspace.

STEP 03

Inspect what comes back

Review the cost, then run the request. Read the extracted text, switch to JSON and check the title, links, source evidence and quality signal. Static extraction uses one credit; JavaScript rendering uses five where available. Download the full response to keep it. Activity records the URL, outcome and credits, not every response body.

STEP 04

Take it into your code

Create an API key in your workspace and copy it when shown. Keep it in a server environment variable. Set WAGGLE_BASE_URL to the origin of the pageflock website you use, without a trailing slash. Choose a language below; this builder generates an example without sending a request.

curl --fail-with-body --include --max-time 45 \
  -X POST "$WAGGLE_BASE_URL/api/pageflock/v1/scrape" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $WAGGLE_API_KEY" \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
  --data '{
  "url": "https://example.com"
}'

This edits a code example. It does not send a request or use credits.
