Start with a page you know
Sign in, open the request workbench and choose Page extraction. Enter a complete public URL such as https://example.com. If your account requires email confirmation, complete that first. The workspace shows the operation’s credit cost before you run it.
A live request fetches your chosen source. A sample is an illustration and uses no credits. Loading a saved request or copying code does not run a live request.
Read the result
A successful page extraction returns a title, readable text, links and metadata. Check the source URL and the extracted content before using it. A page can be fetched successfully while containing less information than you expected; Static mode reads the original HTML; optional JavaScript rendering is a separate five-credit mode where available.
pageflock also returns an explainable quality signal in metadata.quality with a score, grade and the content-shape checks that passed. The top-level evidence field records the source URL, retrieval time and a content fingerprint so you can audit exactly what was read. These signals describe the response; they do not verify the publisher, freshness or mailbox ownership.
For workflows that should never pay for a thin response, enable the minimum-quality guarantee or send min_quality_score from 0 to 100. A final result below that floor returns a quality error and uses zero credits. Auto Mode can render a thin static shell first when your five-credit ceiling permits it, then applies the floor to the final result.
Keep the response or download it when you need the full content later. Activity records request details and credit usage; it is not an archive of every synchronous response body.
Use your own application
Create a key in API keys and copy the full secret when it is shown. Store it in a server environment variable called WAGGLE_API_KEY. Set WAGGLE_BASE_URL to the pageflock website origin you use, without a trailing slash.
The workbench generates cURL, Python, JavaScript, Go, Ruby and Java examples from your current operation and parameters. These examples use an environment variable for the secret. Send the request from your backend, not from a public browser bundle.
POST /api/pageflock/v1/scrape
